Introducing macOS application support

SimpleMDM now supports the installation of applications to macOS managed devices, over the air. SimpleMDM utilizes the Apple Volume Purchase Program (VPP) to support licensing and deployment of macOS applications. Both device based and Apple ID based VPP license assignment are supported.

If you already have an Apple VPP account tied to your SimpleMDM account, macOS licensed apps will appear in your app catalog today.

Note: While we use the terminology “macOS”, SimpleMDM also supports older versions of the Mac operating system, such as OS X 10.11 El Capitan.
